Pol Roger
Pol Roger current holds the Royal Warrant as purveyors of champagne to Queen Elizabeth II. Acquiring his vineyards producing sparkling wine under his label in 1855, Pol Roger focused on Brut Champagne that British preferred. In 1899 his two sons changed their surnames to Pol-Roger to honor their father. Winston Churchill was very loyal to the family and even named one of his prize winning race horses “Pol Roger”. The house's prestige label is the vintage Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill.
